There Are No Words

Seriously – it can’t really be explained.

Just know that this interpretive dance at the Seller’s annual Halloween party included a Dirty Dancing lift and ended with man-on-man kissing.

See, now that I used words to describe it I feel dirty again…

The Mako

After three hours of chumming and about forty minutes of fighting we pulled in this little guy right here.

The stats: 7 feet long and 200lbs.

The verdict: tasty goodness.

Dorks Night Out

Paul, Stuart, and I went to the Indians/Angels game tonight. The Angels pulled off back-to-back-to-back home runs in the second but the Tribe battled back and overcame them in the top of the ninth, ultimately winning the game 8-6.

Good times with good friends!

Good Day Fishing, Bad Day Catching

// July 25th, 2009 // No Comments » // Friends, Project 365

We took off to the Islas Coronados today with Capt. Brad. 12 hours and 80 miles later we had nothing – not even a bite.

Can’t call it a bad time, though. The weather was beautiful and we saw two gray whales that had to be 50′ long and a pod of six killer whales…something you don’t see too often down here.

We also spent the last two hours fishing in the bay. Caught some sand sharks and bass and fought a few bat rays. Nothing we’d eat thanks to good ol’ contamination but still fun.

Metal On Metal

Brian, Paul and I went to see Anvil: The Story of Anvil tonight. It was a fantastic film that really captured the friendship of the two guys who started the band and their dream of rocking for over 30 years together.

Paulie and I went to see Avenged Sevenfold at the Nokia Theatre tonight. It was a fantastic night of metal goodness made perfect when Slash appeared on stage to join the band in covering Guns N’ Roses’ “It’s So Easy.”

Frozen Metal

What better way to celebrate Friday the 13th than a death defying trip to Snow Summit with my buddy Conor. True to form, a blizzard hit us fifteen minutes after this picture was taken.

In case you’re wondering, Conor tastes like chicken.

WE! ARE! ND!

// September 3rd, 2007 // 1 Comment » // C6M, Friends, Sports

I have returned!

My journey with Conor to Chicago/South Bend to watch the Irish open the season against Georgia Tech was about the best trip ever. Yeah, the Irish lost (33 to 3 – ouch!) but nothing compares to being in Notre Dame stadium for a home game. Along the way, we hooked up with Bill and Charles from C6M for continued good times. Here’s a brief pictorial journey:

7/7/7

// January 18th, 2007 // 2 Comments » // Friends

Like it’s predecessor 6/6/6, 7/7/7 is shaping up to be one of the great gatherings of all time. This year, we’re even throwing in a road trip to Vegas for good measure. In the spirit of the gambling Mecca, I’m laying down 2-1 odds that Mark gets kidnapped and sold into slavery. (5-1 they make him re-enact the trail of tears.)
