Just The Dregs

I decided to go through the CD collection and pull out a few to sell. I ended up with four bags (just shy of 700 CDs) and also threw in a few games and movies.

One of my friends commented that he couldn’t believe I was selling my CD collection. I had to laugh as this cache of dregs doesn’t even scratch the surface. These were just the few discs that only garnered one or two spins at most.

Good lord, I have issues.

Mayhem

I went to Mayhem Fest today to see Slayer, Marilyn Manson, Killswitch Engage, All That Remains, God Forbid and a slew of others. This is the scene from the pit during All That Remains.

At 36, I was definitely the oldest one in the midst of the chaos. I also wasn’t a fan of the crowd surfers kicking me in the head but I got my revenge. Everyone that kicked me had one of his shoes stolen and thrown far away into the midst of 40,000 people.

Me FTW.

Brian, Paul and I went to see Anvil: The Story of Anvil tonight. It was a fantastic film that really captured the friendship of the two guys who started the band and their dream of rocking for over 30 years together.

Paulie and I went to see Avenged Sevenfold at the Nokia Theatre tonight. It was a fantastic night of metal goodness made perfect when Slash appeared on stage to join the band in covering Guns N’ Roses’ “It’s So Easy.”
